Junior Achievement of the Palm Beaches & Treasure Coast inspires nearly 20,000 K-12 students each year. We do this through age-appropriate curriculum that begins in elementary school. Students learn how they impact the world around them as individuals, workers and consumers.
Our programs continue through middle and high school where the focus areas are work readiness, financial literacy and entrepreneurship. Throughout JA’s programs students use information, apply basic skills, think critically and solve problems. In all programs there is a special emphasis placed on staying in school and the relationship between learning and earning.
Junior Achievement programs offer a wide variety of business people the opportunity to apply their expertise to the educational needs of our communities’ students from kindergarten through the 12th grade. These programs provide students with relevant, age-appropriate, experiential programs that deliver career role models and cutting-edge tools, such as leadership, teamwork and decision-making skills. All materials needed to teach the curriculum - as well as volunteer training - are provided.
Volunteer coordinators are the key to helping companies impact JA’s outreach to youth. Coordinators help JA communicate the message of our organization to encourage volunteers to sign up!
Junior Achievement curriculum engages and excites students, leading to stronger critical thinking and decision-making skills and more confidence. Educators like you tell us that the JA programs in their schools and classrooms are easy to integrate and have significant impact.
JA's elementary school programs can help as students move from talking about "Ourselves" & "Our Families" in kindergarten and first grades to "Our Nation" by 5th grade.
JA's middle school programs enable students to excel further in school by illuminating the link between academic success of the present and professional success of the future.
JA's high school curriculum bolsters the ability of students to succeed in the globalized marketplace of the 21st century by emphasizing the importance of skills such as managing their own finances and developing entrepreneurial aspirations.
Bring Junior Achievement to your classroom and give your students the unique experience of learning directly from Junior Achievement volunteers who have succeeded in the globalized economy, and would have others succeed as well.
