Junior Achievement of the Palm Beaches, Inc.
For over 90 years, Junior Achievement has provided quality financial education to millions of children around the world. We are currently in over 120 countries! Right here in Palm Beach, Martin, Hendry, Indian River and St. Lucie counties, Junior Achievement reaches over 22,000 students each year. We teach these students the key concepts of financial literacy, work readiness, and entrepreneurship which are crucial in today’s economy. JA is educating the next generation on how to create a budget …stay out of debt and save for the future. JA is teaching the next generation how to enter the job market…interview for a job and the skills that are needed to retain a job! And finally, JA is teaching the next generation how an entrepreneur can bring about powerful economic change!
Junior Achievement of the Palm Beaches reaches these 22,000 students through our classroom programs (K-12), the Company Program (where high school students produce, market, and sell a product during a semester) and of course, through visits to JA BizTown and JA Finance Park. This year we took the bold step of making our JA BizTown fully “mobile”. We no longer wait for the schools to bring the students to us…we bring JA BizTown the schools! We are excited by the possibilities this endeavor provides to both Junior Achievement and the schools we support.
We could not achieve our lofty goals without our dedicated staff, our Board of Directors, and of course, our many sponsors and volunteers.
